The Glad Scientist performs live concerts using virtual reality as a performance tool. In a headset, he controls both audio and visual of the concert, live patching synths, beat juggling sequencers, and mixing effects while generating live and reactive visuals that reveal both his process in the virtual world as well as the visual narrative of his works. For generate_lab! he will perform iCNTEVN, a playful dive into The Glad Scientist’s experiences on the internet. From glitched out and twerking Motoko Kusanagis (Ghost in the Shell) to waterfalls of emoji reactions, the experience is driven by a marriage of audiovisual chaos controlled and manipulated in real-time by the artist in virtual reality.
